St. Maximillian Kolbe Polish Mission Financial Council
Fr. Jerzy Frydrych
Pastor of the Polish Mission 1735 Grand Avenue
San Diego, CA 92109
Father Frydrych:
For some time now the Parish Finance Council has been fielding questions from parishioners about the financial affairs of our Mission. There have been concems about the budget for the first time in 12 years of complete financial stabilny. This situation needs to be addressed as soon as possible by-the church as a whole, as it has been over a year that you have been the sole person in charge of finances and the issue has been largely dismissed.
In accordance with the Diocese's recommendations, the Finance Council would Re to review the records as of September 2005, including income and expenses to determine that the parish is operating within its budget, take inventory of fixed assets acquired since September 2005, and review bank accounts and methods of disbursement to ensure they comply with diocesan guidelines. In order to diffuse the situation and reassure the parishioners, they will be advised of the results as well.
We would appreciate a response by December 15th with the hope that there will be no issues with allowing the Council to fulfill its responsibilities.
